Those who do not look beyond death can simply start to have an aversion to life. What did I work for? What was the meaning of my life anyway? Such loathing can only disappear when your life is connected to Christ, when you have learned to live for the Lord. Only then will a person have a true perspective. Then you can be assured that you will live forever and that your name will last forever. Christ will give this to you. We read that in Revelation 3:5, “The one who conquers will be clothed in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and his angels.”
