The term “all” is not present in the Hebrew text from which Peter quotes (Psalm 55:22). Peter, then, has added the term. With this addition, Peter presses upon his readers that their act of “casting” is to be comprehensive, omitting not a single burden. The pressing hand of suffering may tempt you to conclude that the burden is too great for the Lord to solve or that he’s not interested in providing strength and/or deliverance. With the addition of the word “all,” the apostle negates that temptation.
7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
