Psalm 147:10 (ESV)

10 His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man,

In a war, a strong horse was important. And a soldier must have sturdy legs, for running fast or walking long distances belong to the basic skills of a soldier. Even now, good shoes or boots are basic equipment for a soldier, but for God, cavalry or infantry does not matter. God often uses those who are weak in this world as his instruments.
