The fourth vignette John portrays of the New Jerusalem moves beyond the static structures of the initial portraits to describe life in the holy city. That life has its source and its centre in God himself and the Lamb. The inhabitants of the New Jerusalem ceaselessly worship
and see
and reign,
and always the focus is the glorious God who makes possible that he and people can live together in blessed eternal communion. It is a glory and a privilege that no eye has seen or ear heard or the heart of man conceived, a glory and a privilege for which to praise God forever!
3 No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him.
