The Levite accepts Micah’s offer, and lives with him. What is unexpected, however, is the note that the young man became to him like one of his sons.
Micah had hired the youth to be as a father to him (Judges 17:10), but here we read that he treats him like one of his sons. This will in fact set the stage for following events.1
11 And the Levite was content to dwell with the man, and the young man became to him like one of his sons.
