What does it mean to seek to be justified in Christ?
Galatians 2:17 (ESV)
17But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we too were found to be sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not!
Paul is simply affirming that Jewish believers trust in Christ to make them right in God’s sight rather than their own obedience to God’s law. Justification in Christ requires one to abandon faith in law observance as a means of salvation.
