With this phrase, Paul emphasizes Jesus’ full humanity (Job 14:1; Job 15:14; Job 25:4; Matthew 11:11; Hebrews 2:17; Hebrews 4:15).1 A woman was the means by which the Son entered this world and also the one from whom he took everything which characterizes mankind (except for sin, 2 Corinthians 5:21).2 From this point in time onward, the Son, Jesus Christ, would forever possess two natures. He is both fully human and fully divine.3
