What is meant with the phrase, “fruit of the Spirit”?

Fruit of the Spirit is a reference to concrete manifestations of the Spirit’s work in the life of the believer. There are parallels in John 15:1–27 and Matthew 7:16.¹ The Spirit does not produce lots of different fruit in different believers,² so that one believer has one fruit and another has a different fruit. Rather, he is talking about a cluster to be seen in each believer.³ The Spirit wants, and helps, all believers to grow in godly living.⁴
