The combination recalls the book of Exodus, serving as the standard expression for God’s display of power in the departure from Egypt (Exodus 7:3; Deuteronomy 4:34; Deuteronomy 6:22; Deuteronomy 7:19; Deuteronomy 29:2; Jeremiah 32:20; Psalm 78:43). God convinced Israel through the signs and wonders that he performed through Moses (Exodus 4:1–17); God convinces of the greater value of salvation through Jesus through signs and wonders.1
