Matthew 5:5 (ESV)

5 “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Psalm 37:1–40 promises that the meek will inherit the earth. Looking forward to life in the new creation, the promise is that those who are humble and gentle (the meek) will enjoy life in God’s presence. Present sacrifices for the sake of righteousness will be rewarded. 1
