When Jesus’ followers live in a way that accords with the principles that he teaches them, they will bring others to praise God. The idea of Christians bringing glory to God through their good works is also seen elsewhere in the New Testament (1 Corinthians 10:31; 2 Corinthians 4:6; Philippians 2:15; Titus 2:8; 1 Peter 2:12, 1 Peter 2:15). 1 Good works are always to be done for the glory of God and not self. 2
16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so thatthey may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
