In particular, the Spirit helps me to fight against sinful desires and make plans to avoid areas of temptation. He impresses upon me the fact that lustful thoughts and desires are contrary to God’s will and not something that must be entertained but repented of. He is also at work in me to change my desires to that I want to honour marriage as a wonderful gift from God instead of using people for my own pleasure.
