The Spirit uses the preaching of God’s Word to strengthen us for godly living. In particular, he focuses our hearts and minds on the wonderful love of God for us in Christ (see Galatians 2:20). Psalm 136 is a song that similarly calls us to remember God’s love. This would be a good song to sing in response to your sermon.
