This highlights the fact that there is only one true altar for proper worship. No private altars are permitted, not even for peace offerings which were presented in the family context. All offerings must be made in the proper way and only at the altar of the Lord.
6 And the priest shall throw the blood on the altar of the LORD at the entrance of the tent of meeting and burn the fat for a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
