What does it mean not to worry about tomorrow?

Matthew 6:34 (ESV)

34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

To worry about tomorrow is to live in fear of what the future will bring (Proverbs 27:1; James 4:13–15). Uncertainties about politics and work often plague the thoughts of many men and women. It is easy to become consumed with thoughts of what can happen with the result that one loses focus on the tasks to be done in the present. Instead of focusing on the future, God’s people should aim to deal with the challenges of the present day.
