By acting in this way (Job 27:12), Job’s friends have made themselves guilty of wickedness. Therefore, they should expect the portion of a wicked man with God,
the portion that they themselves have warned Job against.
This is not the first time that Job warns his friends that they might be the ones to experience punishment (see Job 13:7–11; Job 17:4–5; Job 19:28–29).
