  2. Exposition

What does it mean for Jesus to be Lord of all?

Acts 10:36 (ESV)

36 As for the word that he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all),

For Jesus to be Lord of all means that he is the true king of all people, Jewish people and Gentile people. There is no one who is not subject to his kingship and rule (see Psalm 110:1–7; Philippians 2:6–11). The fact that Jesus is Lord of all means that the gospel can go to all.1
