Sermon goal for Acts 14:1-18

Acts 14:1–18 (ESV)

1 Now at Iconium they entered together into the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed.

The book of Acts recounts the spread of the early church and the manner in which Christ works to take the gospel from Jerusalem, to Samaria and finally to the ends of the world (Acts 1:8). Your sermon from Acts 14:1–18 will emphasise the need for special revelation if someone is to come to faith in Jesus Christ. You will aim to foster a sense of thanksgiving and praise to God for all those whom he has called to minister his Word to people throughout the world. You will also challenge the general secular consensus that all religions are the same.
