The book of Acts recounts the spread of the early church and the manner in which Christ works to take the gospel from Jerusalem, to Samaria and finally to the ends of the world (Acts 1:8). Your sermon from Acts 9:1–19 will show how Saul will form part of Jesus’ plan. You should emphasize the fact that his conversion experience was unique and that it serves to confirm his status in the church. It will be helpful to talk about God’s sovereignty and the connection between Christ and his church. Finally, you can encourage God’s people to submit to that which Christ has taught through the apostle Paul.
