God the Holy Spirit helps me to persevere in the Christian life while I wait for the return of Jesus Christ. He keeps me from becoming despondent when I see lots of suffering around me; he helps me to make wise decisions so that I am not deceived by false teachers, and he works in me to keep me so that I do not fall away from Christ.
