What does 2 Peter 3:8-10 reveal about what God does in and through me (the work of the Holy Spirit)? God the Holy Spirit helps me to wait for Christ’s return, knowing that my understanding of time is limited and that God’s timing is always best. He helps me to keep trusting in Christ whilst I look forward to that day, knowing that it can come at any moment. He also prompts me to turn back to Christ and look to him for comfort and forgiveness when I sin, reminding me that Christ longs to forgive sinners and does not want me to perish.
8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
