In view of the aforementioned offer of prayers, the hearing must be a reaction to that prayer offering.
Ultimately, this response is the resurrection from the dead, and with it the acceptance of Jesus’ complete work of salvation. The idea that God in the resurrection heard and answered Jesus’ prayer is an extension of Peter’s teaching in Acts 2:29–36, and of what Paul and Barnabas teach in Acts 13:34–41.1
