Deuteronomy 3:26 (ESV)

26 But the LORD was angry with me because of you and would not listen to me. And the LORD said to me, ‘Enough from you; do not speak to me of this matter again.

Moses' request would not be granted. In fact, the Lord became angry with him because of the Israelites. He would not see the land because he had to take responsibility for his rash action. The Lord would not listen to Moses, who was overcome with the desire to set foot in the land. This was not in keeping with the Lord's will, so the Lord commands him to stop asking.
