Esther 9:15 (ESV)

15 The Jews who were in Susa gathered also on the fourteenth day of the month of Adar and they killed 300 men in Susa, but they laid no hands on the plunder.

On the following day, the Jewish men assembled themselves again. They killed three hundred enemies in the city of Susa. The smaller number may indicate that Haman had fewer supporters (and Mordecai more; see also Esther 8:15) in the city than in the citadel. Yet it also shows that Esther had been right to be weary of the Jews’ remaining enemies.
