The song shows us that “even in the relatively insignificant and often barbarous minor wars of Judges, what was really at stake were spiritual values and realities: the preservation of God’s people, the triumph of His cause, and the coming of His kingdom. Deborah, therefore, just like Moses on the bank of the Red Sea (Exodus 15:1–27), was already singing her song of triumph for the church of the New Testament (see Revelation 15:2–4)."1
