John heard a huge choir of angelic voices join in the praise. Somewhat farther from the semi-circle of elders and living creatures around the throne of God (and the Lamb now standing before God’s throne), John noticed an outer circle of innumerable angels, all breaking forth in a song that affirmed what the living creatures and elders of the inner circle had said.
