What does Amos 1:1-2 reveal about what God does (through the work of the Son) in my place and on my behalf?
God protects me from his judgment and anger against my sin by sending his Son to bear the penalty of sin on my behalf. The Lion of Judah is the Lamb of God who pays the penalty for the sins of all God’s people, so that I do not have to be destroyed by God’s burning anger.
