Revelation of God the Son

Amos 1:1–2 (ESV)

1 The words of Amos, who was among the shepherds of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

What does Amos 1:1-2 reveal about what God does (through the work of the Son) in my place and on my behalf?

God protects me from his judgment and anger against my sin by sending his Son to bear the penalty of sin on my behalf. The Lion of Judah is the Lamb of God who pays the penalty for the sins of all God’s people, so that I do not have to be destroyed by God’s burning anger.
