Once again Amos has focused our attention on God’s judgment. This time, however, he has also emphasized the possibility of escaping judgment as well as the actions that the Lord requires of his people. The goal of your sermon is to explain that the Lord determines justice and promises life for those who seek him and live in a relationship with him. You should also be encouraging God’s people that if we belong to the Lord our faith should be visible in our actions—we should be known as people who love justice.
