Proclaiming and publishing offerings suggests that the Israelites were feeling very confident in their religion. They were doing all the right things: tithes (Deuteronomy 14:22–29), burning thank offerings (Leviticus 7:12–15; Leviticus 22:29–30), and announcing freewill offerings (Leviticus 7:16–17; Leviticus 22:18–23).
