These are the saints who form the temple of God, the church. As they pray, they worship their God and Saviour in grateful praise for his redeeming work and in hearty confession of their dependence on him as they face the hostilities of this world. Those who worship are the “priests” of Revelation 5:10 and the “sealed” of Revelation 7:3 who “are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple” (Revelation 7:15).
