Before returning to this house in Capernaum, Jesus and the twelve chosen disciples had gone up on a mountain next to the Sea of Galilee. Now after some time alone, when they come back to Capernaum, the news of their arrival spreads quickly. A large crowd soon gathers in and around the house, and as a result, Jesus and his disciples do not even have a chance to cook food and eat together after their journey.
20 Then he went home, and the crowd gathered again, so that they could not even eat.
