John sees the battle for the throne of the world played out before him in response to the blowing of this trumpet (Revelation 12:1 – 13:18). The battle is hopeless for the great red dragon (Revelation 12:3) and for the beasts (Revelation 13:1, Revelation 13:11) because of the glorious declaration that “loud voices” in heaven sound as soon as the trumpet is blown (Revelation 11:15). That declaration receives priority attention.
15 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.”
