The previous sentence had spoken of the dragon persistently accusing “our brothers” before God. Such accusations, however, did not persuade the Lord God to deny these brothers access to heaven, because of “the blood of the Lamb.” The Lamb’s work is the means by which the people of God overcome, conquer Satan’s accusations. In fact, it is precisely the Lamb’s blood that make Satan’s accurate accusations false, slanderous, diabolical.
11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.
