This is the third tool the brothers use to conquer the devil. Their testimony could so rile the dragon and those with him that these witnesses end up killed (see Revelation 11:7; cf. Revelation 2:13). Yet even their deaths could not make Satan’s accusations against them before God stand. The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God in Jesus Christ is life (Romans 6:23), and so Satan’s accusations cannot stick.
11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.
