To what do these "wings" allude?

Revelation 12:14 (ESV)

14 But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle so that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time.

To assist her in fleeing from the dragon, the woman received wings to fly into the wilderness. These wings are a clear allusion to the Lord’s description of how he took Israel from Egypt to the wilderness of Sinai (Exodus 19:4). As he bore his people on eagle’s wings long ago, so he still provides wings to his people/church/bride.
