What means does the second beast use to entice people to worship the first beast?

Revelation 13:14–17 (ESV)

14 and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived.

In Revelation 13:14–17 John lists three activities this beast does to achieve his purpose:

  1. great signs (Revelation 13:14)

  2. generation of an image (Revelation 13:14)

  3. give each person a mark (Revelation 13:16–17)
