In the commentary on Revelation 10:2 we argued that this scroll is not the same as the one from Revelation 5:1–14. The Lord has not told us the content of this scroll and so we gain nothing from speculating. Thus, the scroll is significant not for its content but for the experience of eating it.
9 So I went to the angel and told him to give me the little scroll. And he said to me, “Take and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.”
