The miracle is in the complete turn: not my people
(Hosea 1:9) becomes my people
and not loved
(Hosea 2:1) becomes loved.
It is a complete surprise. There is so much love in God’s heart that he can start a new marriage with his wife that he had sent away. With God a new beginning is always possible!
1 Say to your brothers, “You are my people,” and to your sisters, “You have received mercy.”
