For what does God blame his people?

Hosea 4:2 (ESV)

2 there is swearing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed.

God blames his people for a lot of things! You will easily find quite a few of the Ten Commandments in Hosea 4:2—at least the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth commandments! So sin is pointed out very concretely here. And the sins are also interrelated: one thing leads to another. It goes from lovelessness and infidelity to lying and committing adultery. Sin begins in the heart of man, but does not remain there. It gets revealed!
