What does Genesis tell us about Noah?

Hebrews 11:7 (ESV)

7 By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

In Genesis 3:1–24 God is speaking about the offspring of the serpent (Satan) and the offspring of het woman (Jesus; see Genesis 3:15). Genesis 4:1–26 is about unbelievers—the offspring of the serpent. Genesis 5 is about the believers—the offspring of the woman. In Genesis 5:28–32 Noah is mentioned as the one who will bring relief; that means that Noah is like the bridge to the new world where the seed of the woman—Jesus—will be born and bring relief through his salvation.
