He saw the exodus as God’s people’s road of redemption. And he wanted to go with them on that road to the land of God. He speaks about his bones. When Jesus died at the cross, not one of his bones was broken (Psalm 34:20; John 19:36). The body should be preserved because it will be redeemed on the day of the resurrection. This is a great testimony of the faith of the believers in the Old Testament: God will save his children completely, body and soul.
