The age and continued strength of Caleb reflect the divine blessing which was upon him.1 God’s blessing upon his people in those times bestowed abundant and effective life upon them (see Genesis 27:27–29; Genesis 49:1–28), material abundance such as children (Genesis 1:28; Genesis 28:3), land (Genesis 26:3; Genesis 28:4), and wealth (Genesis 28:12–14).2
11 I am still as strong today as I was in the day that Moses sent me; my strength now is as my strength was then, for war and for going and coming.
