From having discussed the servanthood of the apostles, Paul moves on to a direct rebuke. With three brief, direct questions, he unmasks the spiritual pride of the Corinthians. They have forgotten that everything that they possess, including their faith and their wisdom, is a gift from God.
7 For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?
