Although the Corinthians imagine that they are wise (1 Corinthians 3:18), it seems that there is no one among them who is wise enough even to judge trivial cases
(1 Corinthians 6:2). This state of affairs should make them ashamed instead of arrogant (see 1 Corinthians 4:6–7; 1 Corinthians 5:2).
