He blames them for not asking for him anymore. And he was still the God of the redemption from Egypt and the protection in the dry and dark desert. He led them to a land of milk and honey. And what did his people do? They profaned God’s property through their sin. Note that God’s own land was made a terrible place, the Promised Land was desecrated, it became too dirty to deal with. That is what sin does: make dirty, defiles.
6 They did not say, ‘Where is the LORD who brought us up from the land of Egypt, who led us in the wilderness, in a land of deserts and pits, in a land of drought and deep darkness, in a land that none passes through, where no man dwells?’
