If you have become alienated from God in your life and have followed other powers (idols), there is only one way: the way back, back to the beginning, to the first love (Jeremiah 2:2). God says, draw near to me and I will draw near to you (James 4:8). Also realize that God’s desire for you is greater than your desire for him!

If you have grown distant from God because you have followed other powers, realize that—thanks to the cross of Christ—there is always forgiveness and a new beginning.
