Proverbs 16:26 (ESV)

26 A worker’s appetite works for him; his mouth urges him on.

Since his fall, man has had to work hard for his daily bread. Yet by God’s grace a man’s appetite drives him on to labour for the fruit that the Lord still provides, motivated to seek that for which he hungers. Accordingly, we should hunger for righteousness (Matthew 5:6), and work for the food which lasts to eternal life, that which the Son of Man gives us (John 6:27).
