The queen of Sheba is often depicted as a beautiful black woman who seduced Solomon with her charm. The Bible does not talk about that at all. The Bible describes her as a wise lady. For example, she does not believe all the rumours, but she goes to check the rumours about the King Solomon in Jerusalem concerning the name of the Lord. She also tests Solomon with difficult questions and riddles. Jesus talks about this when he talks about her who came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon (Luke 11:31). The fact that she can give riddles proves that she too was very wise.
1 Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to test him with hard questions.
