Signs in Scripture vouch for the validity and reliability of God’s words (Judges 6:17, Judges 6:36; 1 Samuel 10:1–9; John 2:23). Revelation 14 had twice mentioned the “wrath of God” (Revelation 14:10, Revelation 14:19). By now showing John “another sign,” the Lord confirms to John and his readers the accuracy of this word concerning his wrath.
1 Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished.
