According to Revelation 13:3–4, “the whole earth” was worshipping the dragon (Satan) (see also 2 Corinthians 4:4). The Lord had sent his angels to proclaim his gospel to all nations (Revelation 14:6–11), but people persisted in their worship of the beast and its image (Revelation 14:9). Yet now the conquerors sing their confident expectation: God’s “deeds” are so “great and amazing” that “all nations” will bow the knee to God (Philippians 2:10).
4 Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”
